HI, IM
ZIYAD
DERFOUFI
Software Engineer
@zderfoufSoftware engineering starts at hardware for me. Memory, RAM, the stack, I think in these before I think in frameworks. From C and C++ to full-stack web apps, everything I build respects how computers actually work, down to the last cycle.

WHOAMI
I'm Ziyad. I went to a coding school with no teachers and no lectures, because apparently I don't need either. Three years of building everything from first principles, since reading documentation felt too much like being taught. Turns out I'm a software engineer now. The deadlines didn't stand a chance.
They handed me a project, a deadline, and zero instructions. I handed back a fully functional software. Repeat that for three years and you get me: self-taught, over-confident, and annoyingly good at making softwares.
Projects
I've delivered 21+ projects, These are the ones I'm most proud of.

Mini-shell
Unix shell from scratch in C, handling command parsing, pipes, redirections, and signal interrupts, mirroring how Bash works under the hood to explore OS level process managment.

Orbit
A multi-service web app deployed with Docker and Docker Compose: Nginx reverse proxy with SSL/TLS, MySQL, WordPress, network isolation, and automated init scripts.

HTTP Server
A multi-port HTTP/1.1 server in C++98 with a non-blocking kqueue event loop, sustaining 546 req/s across 130 concurrent clients with zero leaks. FSM request parser and streaming uploads.

Leets
A real-time social platform built on a microservices architecture, featuring secure JWT authentication, session management, and a Socket.IO-powered chat.
Tredel
The trading journal built in 🇲🇦 and home of the Bourse de Casablanca traders who take their edge seriously.
